Paul Newman believed that giving back is the greatest opportunity to make our world a better place. Newman’s Own Foundation supports organisations and programs that continue Paul’s legacy of giving and create opportunities for long-term impact.
The focus of the Newman’s Own Foundation 2016 Australian charity funding round is Children.
Grant amounts up to $50,000 are available for registered charities from across Australia.
This year we are specifically seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from organisations that enhance the quality of life for children with life-limiting medical conditions and/or for whom the experience of childhood has been disrupted by circumstances beyond their control.
To help evaluate your EOI, please carefully read the following information and refer to the webpage “Charity – Criteria” link for further guidelines.
As the Foundation is bound by the requirements of the USA Department of Internal Revenue, EOIs will only be accepted from charitable organisations with current Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. If you are uncertain of your organisation’s DGR status, your authorised representative can contact the ATO for confirmation on 1300 130 248.
Successful applicants will be notified by July 2016, via email from Newman’s Own Foundation in the USA if their organisation has been shortlisted for the opportunity to apply for a grant and application documents will be forwarded electronically. They will need to complete the application and submit it with all relevant material by the required July deadline. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email by the end of June 2016. Please note that the final funding decisions are made in the USA and the Foundation does not enter into discussions regarding the selection process.
